Spate of crimes in Antrim probed

Published 02/08/2012

Police in Antrim are investigating a number of reported incidents of crime in The Warren area of the town.

Just after 6.30am on Tuesday, July 31 a Citroen Picasso car was reported stolen from a garage during a creeper burglary. The thieves had entered the house to retrieve the car keys before taking the vehicle.

A report was then received at 8.20am that a window of a garage at a different property in The Warren had been smashed. It's believed an attempt was also made to enter the garage.

A third property was subsequently found to have had conservatory windows tampered with.

Police are investigating a link between these incidents and an earlier report at 4.57am of a suspicious male in the nearby Knockmoyle Drive area.
