A specialist underwater search team has been drafted in from the Republic to help look for missing woman Karen Coyles (47).

Karen, from Ballycastle, Co Antrim, has not been seen since last Sunday. Yesterday, a microlight aircraft and dive teams were being used to scour the stormy waters off Ballycastle.

Community Rescue Service regional commander Sean McCarry said: "The search is still ongoing. We have volunteer search and recovery dive teams - the Dundalk Sub Aqua Recovery team joined us yesterday and the Mourne Underwater Search and Recovery Team joined us today.

PSNI area commander for Moyle, Chief Inspector Sean Fitzpatrick, said: "We would appeal for members of the public with information relating to Karen's movements from Sunday night until Monday morning to contact us. Karen may have walked through Ballycastle town during this time-frame."
