A frightening array of ‘spooktacular’ activities is taking place at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum on Sunday, October 31, as part of its annual Hallowe’en Family Festival.

You can call up your detecting skills as you follow clues dotted throughout the rail and road galleries as you try to solve the dastardly Mannequin Murder Mystery, or get a taste of the early 1900s by carving turnip lanterns, playing apple games and watch the making of broomsticks. Visitor Services Manager Ruth Turkington says: “An added feature at this year’s event is the screening of Frankenstein in the Picture House for those who are brave enough!

“Don’t forget to come dressed up in your Hallowe’en costume to be in with a chance of winning the fancy dress competition. Following the competition the whole family can take part in the fancy dress parade around Ballycultra Town.”

The festival will run from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, October 31. Major event day pricing applies.
