History will come to life later this month as German forces invade Springhill.

Fortunately, the Second World War re-enactment will also see American GIs take part in Operation Liberation in Moneymore.

The Allies are urging the public to join in the war effort and help them in their battle to win the National Trust property back on Saturday August 22 and Sunday August 23 - but have your papers in order as the Germans are on the lookout for spies and saboteurs.

The Wartime Living History Association (WLHA) will demonstrate a series of living history displays and live battle re-enactments throughout the weekend with vehicles, advanced pyrotechnics and weapons.

At 1pm, visitors will get to see a number of firing demonstrations and a parade of original WWII and post-war vehicles.

At 3pm, a German ambush will take place in the woods and finally, at 4pm a direct attack will take place on German HQ at the front of the house.
