Laganbank councillor Christopher Stalford has been appointed as the new chairman of the Belfast District Policing Partnership (DPP).

Mr Stalford said he was “delighted” with his appointment.

“My main aim during this year will be to represent local people with any concerns they may have with policing issues as well as to work alongside the PSNI to deliver a first rate police service throughout Belfast,” said Mr Stalford.

“I look forward to working with both the political and independent members of the District Policing Partnership.”
