Air France plane diverted to Belfast International Airport

An Air France pilot has been forced to make an emergency landing at Belfast International Airport.

The flight had been due to land in Dublin but had been circling due to high winds that arrived as Storm Abigail approached the UK and Ireland.

The flight, which had 93 people on board, was diverted to Belfast International Airport and landed safely at 3.48pm.

Passengers were taken to Dublin by coach.

Storm Abigail is bringing heavy rain and strong winds to the north and west coast of Ireland.
