Suspended after YouTube filmed abusive rant
An estate agent who was filmed verbally abusing a Holy Land student tenant has been suspended after the film was put on YouTube.
The agent from Property People is heard on the film shouting expletives at the student during a row over getting access to the house at Damascus Street.
In the film placed on the video-sharing website the student claims he began filming when the agent let himself into the rented house and began swearing at him when he failed to answer the door.
A spokesman for Property People, who stressed the firm abided by the Property Ombudsman’s code, said in the Daily Mirror it had been horrified by the agent’s “unprofessional manner” and said that as a result, it was “reviewing our staff training and development procedures with immediate effect”.
