He was once known as a pint-sized pop sensation who made waves from Tyrone to Las Vegas with his singing.
And now Castlederg singer Lee Mulhern is on the brink of storming the charts with one of the world’s biggest rap stars.
The 24-year-old is awaiting the release of a new song he has recorded with music superstars Snoop Dogg and lyaz.
The Tyrone man collaborated with the heavyweight duo on the ‘electro house’ track called Slow Motion along with an up-and-coming singer called J Pearl.
The video for the song is expected to be posted online in the next few days, while the tune itself will be released in the coming weeks.
The singer, now known as Lee M, made the front page of the Belfast Telegraph back in 2001 when as a 13-year-old he headed to Las Vegas to sing in a major concert alongside Barbara Streisand, Neil |Diamond and Billy Joel.
Now 11 years later, Lee explained how he ended up working with American rapper Snoop Dogg, who has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
The sometimes controversial rap artist had a tough upbringing in Long Beach, California — a world away from the quiet village of Castlederg — and had a number of brushes with the law before embarking on his hugely successful music career.
“It all happened out of the blue,” Lee told the Belfast Telegraph.
“My manager got a call from an American company. They asked would I be interested in featuring in the song with Snoop Dogg and Iyaz.
“I put down vocals with my producer and we sent it off to LA. I heard nothing for months and months,” he added.
“But then they contacted my manager and said they wanted me for the video shoot in Milan.”
Despite singing on the same track and appearing in the video, Lee, who is currently living in Donegal, has yet to meet Snoop.
