The skirl of the pipes echo over Portrush

The North West Pipe Band Championships took place at the weekend.

A total of 49 bands and 37 drum majors took part as the Northern Ireland competition season came to its conclusion at Ramore Head, Portrush, on Saturday.

The North West Pipe Band & Drum Major Championships and RSPBANI Champion of Champions was organised by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (Northern Ireland Branch).

The Pipes and Drums of the Police Service of Northern Ireland enjoyed a fine day and were rewarded with an array of silverware.
