Northern Ireland's Rachael O'Connor and Jai McConnell have impressed pop icon Kylie Minogue as the pair progress to the next stage of The Voice.

Viewers on Saturday watched as Rachael (16) from Drumsurn, close to Limavady, and Jai (24) from Belfast, impressed the judges on the hit BBC show.

Both breezed through the initial blind audition stage.

Rachael - who goes to Limavady Grammar School - sang Clown by Emeli Sande.

Belfast mum-of-one, Jai went for Never Forget You by the Noisettes.

The latest home-grown singing talents come after the success of Newtownabbey’s Leah McFall and Pomeroy’s Andrea Begley.
