Thieves hold knife to man's face during west Belfast burglary

A man has had a knife held to his face during a burglary in west Belfast.

The resident in Glenshane Gardens awoke between 4am and 4.30am on Thursday to find two males in his room.

A knife was held to the man's face while they demanded money.

Detective Inspector Snoddy said: “They subsequently made off in the victim’s car, a beige Skoda Octavia, with a sum of cash, a laptop, a Playstation 4 and a sports bag containing clothes, medication and a mobile phone.

"We are keen to hear from anyone with information about this crime or anyone who is offered similar items for sale. Detectives can be contacted at Musgrave Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 143, 14/7/16.
