Three are fined over fly-tipping and littering

Two men from Belfast have been fined for fly-tipping offences in the city.

Michael Lamont, from Batley Street in east Belfast, was fined £120 for two separate offences and ordered to pay costs of £122. He was also fined £60 for failing to respond to an information notice issued on March 22, 2010, in relation to bagged waste that had been dumped in the street.

Lamont was also fined £60 for failing to comply with a notice issued by Belfast City Council on August 12 last year in relation to bagged waste which had been dumped in a rear entry.

Robert Jozef Wyrebek, from Greenore Street in east Belfast, was fined £40 and ordered to pay costs of £66 for failing to comply with a notice issued by Belfast City Council last March in relation to bagged waste which had been dumped in a rear entry on Woodstock Road.

Pauline Catney, from Ardoyne Court in north Belfast, was fined £25 — plus costs of £66 — for failing to comply with a notice issued by Belfast City Council on January 18, 2011, in relation to a cigarette butt being thrown out of a vehicle at Millfield.
