Three men and two women arrested on suspicion of murder over death of east Belfast woman

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in east Belfast.

Deborah Hunter (50) was found dead in her home at Finmore Court, off the Newtownards Road, on Thursday, November 6.

Last week police announced her death was being treated as suspicious.

Three men - aged 33 , 46 and 52 - were arrested in east Belfast along with two women, aged 44 and 46.

The PSNI's Alan Dickson said: "The 50-year-old was found dead in her home at Finmore Court, off the Newtownards Road, on Thursday November 6.

"Officers are now treating her death as murder."

Around two weeks before her death, Ms Hunter contacted police to say that she had been assaulted by a number of people.

A photograph of the east Belfast woman taken shortly after the alleged attack shows a number of facial injuries.
