Three men - believed to be family members - injured in knife attack in Glengormley

Three men who are believed to be members of the same family have been injured in a knife attack in Glengormley.

On Wednesday night a 20-year-old man sustained a serious cut to his forehead after he was attacked with a knife at a house on Antrim Road at around 11pm.

A 51-year-old man and a 74-year-old man sustained cuts to their hands after they were chased from the property by the suspect and attacked close to a local petrol station.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene by responding officers and remains in custody this morning.

Detective Sergeant John McKendry said: “We believe this incident started at an address before moving a short distance down the road to the garage. This is a busy area and we are keen to speak with witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the investigation.
