Three women badly shaken after masked armed men force way into Belfast home

Three women were left badly shaken after two masked and armed men - one with a gun, the other a crowbar - forced their way into their Belfast home.

It happened in the Maryville Court area of south Belfast on Wednesday.

Just after midnight the two men forced their way in to the home and demanded money.

They fled with two mobile phones and a purse containing a small sum of cash.

Detective Sergeant Mason said: “The three females have been left shaken by this incident and we are keen to find those responsible. We believe they made off from the house in a small, grey car.

"We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this vehicle in the local area or anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted at Musgrave Street Police Station on 101, quoting ref: 12 210916.
