Thumbs up for Antrim from Vanessa Feltz
Bubbly TV and radio presenter Vanessa Feltz has “fallen in love” with Antrim following her recent stay in Northern Ireland as part of her appearance at the PANI awards at Titanic Belfast.
Despite recent racist attacks and the derogatory comments by native snooker champion Mark Allen, Ms Feltz reportedly professed to have 'fallen in love with this lovely wee place' when she and her partner, former Phats and Small singer Ben Ofoedu, spent last weekend in Randalstown.?
Owner of Truffles Restaurant and Guesthouse in Randalstown, Martin McCann said the couple were bowled over by the warm welcome they received here and said Ms Feltz had promised to share their “wonderful stay” with her BBC Radio London listeners.
“There was a real buzz about the place and we're hoping their visit will put Randalstown on the celebrity map,” Mr McCann told the Antrim Guardian.
