A tractor driver in his 60s has died in a road crash.

His tractor was involved in a collision with a 4x4 vehicle on the Cookstown to Moneymore dual carriageway close to the Tyrone/Londonderry county border at around 9.30am.

The male driver of the blue Honda 4x4 has been taken to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The PSNI has appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

The dual carriageway remained closed this afternoon.
