Tragic Lurgan father-of-two is laid to rest

There were poignant scenes as the funeral took place yesterday of manslaughter victim Paul Curran.

The father-of-two, who was aged 29, was found dead at a house in the Taghnevan area of Lurgan last Thursday afternoon.

Hundreds of mourners attended his funeral yesterday at St Peter's Church in the town.

Some wore the colours of Celtic FC, the football team Paul supported.

After the service Mr Curran was buried in St Colman's Cemetery.

A 37-year-old man has been charged with Mr Curran's manslaughter.

Mr Curran was the son of Paula and Frankie Curran and brother of Anne Marie, Catriona and Frankie jnr.

A 31-year-old woman and 36-year-old man also arrested in connection to the investigation were later released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
