Police have released three Lithuanian nationals who were questioned in Fermanagh after being held by a group of people at a housing estate at Connons, close to the Monaghan/Fermanagh border, at the weekend and handed over to the PSNI.
They were detained by cross-border community representatives under a ‘community watch scheme’ which was set up following a spate of recent burglaries.
A spokesman for the watch group said it was “monitoring all suspicious activity” in the area.
