Turkey murders: Trial over deaths of Co Down women adjourned
A Turkish waiter accused of murdering two women from Co Down has today been referred for further psychiatric evaluation.
Recep Cetin (22) and his father Eyup Cetin (43) were due to learn the verdict of their lengthy trial, which has stretched for almost two years.
Marion Graham and Cathy Dinsmore's bodies were found in woodland on the outskirts of Izmir, in August 2011.
Judges at the Izmir Bayrakli Fifth High Criminal Court adjourned the case until September 9.
Relatives of the victims, including Shannon Graham - who was the boyfriend of Recep at the time of the killing - attended today's hearing.
Recep Cetin has admitted the killing but claims he is suffering from psychological issues. His father denies murder but a witness has placed him at the scene of the crime.
