Two arrested after man is tied up and his car stolen
Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was tied up in his own house and threatened with a knife by robbers who made off with his car.
Police said two males, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and a number of other offences following the incident at Cloona Manor in west Belfast during the early hours of yesterday.
At around 2.20am it was reported to the PSNI that two males had threatened their 20-year-old-man with a knife and tied him up in his house, police said.
They stole his wallet and the keys to his car, which they then made off in.
The man was not injured but was left shaken.
The car, a silver Vauxhall Vectra, was recovered by police after it was involved in a collision on Crossgar Road in Saintfield shortly after 3am.
The two suspects were arrested later in the morning after they were stopped by police in Ballynahinch.
