Two held in insurance 'fraud' probe

Two people have been arrested as part of a major police crackdown on money laundering and insurance fraud.

A man aged 48 and a woman aged 39 were detained by organised crime officers in the Ballymena area today.

A spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the pair were "assisting police with their inquiries".

Sixteen people have been arrested since May as part of the ongoing investigation.

The PSNI said the probe was expected to continue for some time.
