Two men are due in court tomorrow charged with possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances.

The men - aged 24 and 32 - are from the Derriaghy area, were arrested along with four others during police raids on Thursday night and in the early hours of Friday morning.

They are due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Three men held in west Belfast and a woman detained in Dunmurry have since been released without charge.

Police said the operation was linked to a security alert in Barnfield Road - where a suspicious object was recovered by army bomb teams on Friday.
