Two men treated for smoke inhalation after north Belfast arson
Two men have been treated for smoke inhalation after an arson attack in Northern Ireland.
A fire was started at the front door of the Ligoniel Road home, in Belfast, in the early hours of Thursday causing significant damage to the property.
Two men, aged in their 20s, who were in the property at the time were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: “Police are investigating a sectarian motive for this incident and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 33 of 13/10/16. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
