Two year old boy dies in Derry crash

The Lone Moor Road in Londonderry city has been closed in both directions following a road crash

A two-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a car in Londonderry.

The collision occurred at around 1.15pm on the Lone Moor Road.

Police have spoken to the driver of the silver coloured Citroen Picasso Car and said enquiries are currently ongoing. The road remains closed at this time.

Inspector David McIlwaine appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information which could assist police with their enquiries to contact Strand Road on 101.
