An American who worked with some of the biggest names in music is in Belfast on Monday to share his secrets.
Nile Rodgers will deliver a key speech at the Waterfront Hall after a lifetime of assisting musicians like Michael Jackson and Madonna.
The legendary producer will help launch Belfast Music Week which features more than 100 performances, workshops and seminars.
Belfast City Councillor Conor Maskey said: "Nile is one of the most entertaining and engaging artists of the modern age and this event promises to be something very special."
Later in the afternoon, there will be a gathering of electronic and dance music figures including DJ Paul Woodford from Ibiza.
Talks will include advice on branding and marketing as well as using the multi-media world.
Mr Maskey added: "These events are designed to educate participants by giving them invaluable insights into the music business, both nationally and internationally, to stimulate debate and discussion about the state of the industry here in Belfast, and also to entertain audiences with the stories and observations of those delivering them."
