Video: How does Cool FM's Pete Snodden cope with Translink’s rush hour travel challenge?
Cool Fm presenter Pete Snodden is usually your company when you are stuck in morning rush-hour traffic - but how would he cope when the roles were reversed?
As part of Northern Ireland’s first ever Bus and Train Week, last week, Pete Snodden swapped his usual early morning commute to complete an evening rush-hour travel challenge, comparing the car versus the train.
Translink threw down the gauntlet to the broadcaster to find out what is the ‘best’ way to travel from Belfast to his home in Bangor, during peak traffic leaving the city.
So how did Pete cope with gridlock traffic versus a train?
The Translink initiative is to encourage more people to give the bus and train a go, and to emphasise the importance of public transport to the economy and wider society.
A series of events and celebrations will be hosted in stations, businesses and organisations across Northern Ireland during the week of the 6 June to 12 June.
