W5 birthday just the ticket

Published 03/02/2011

Popular science centre W5 will celebrate 10 years in business next month.

To mark the occasion W5 is offering an opportunity for families across Northern Ireland to benefit from W5’s resources and learn about science in a exciting way.

With the support of the Belfast Telegraph W5 is offering the opportunity for charities, community groups and local organisations to apply for one of 10 Golden Tickets which will allow access to W5 for a year from March 31.

To apply for the ticket, the prize must benefit those who would not normally have access to W5 and who can demonstrate the difference visits to W5 can make to the lives of the children in the group.

From the applications received, a panel will select 10 winners to become Golden Ticket holders and will grant up to 12 members of the group free admission.

Dr Sally Montgomery OBE, Chief Executive of W5 said: “Since March 2001 we have enjoyed 10 amazing years and had fantastic support from the public.”

The deadline for entries is February 25 with the prize presentations on March 31.
