Watch: Portrush busker Dave Mullan's Justin Bieber cover becomes viral hit

Published 12/02/2016

A Portrush man has become an internet sensation after an Australian newspaper filmed him busking in Sydney's Central Station.

The 25-year-old has taken a year out from University to spend time down under.

He was busking in the city's busy station when he was stopped by a reporter from the Daily Telegraph who asked to film him for the paper and he broke into a performance of Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself'.

Since then, the singer's performance has crossed the world and been viewed almost 50,000 times.

"It was a huge complement. I don’t busk for the money. I sing because I love the smiles it brings as cheesy as that sounds," he told the Coleraine Times.

“But I just love doing it! Any exposure is also amazing.”
