Two men have been stabbed after a large group of men were seen fighting near in the Falls Road area of west Belfast.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the 'serious public disorder'.

Detective Sergeant Natalie McNally said: "Police received reports of a large group of men fighting near a funeral directors on the Falls Road at around 4.40pm this afternoon.

"The two injured men were taken to hospital to be treated for stab injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist our enquiries to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
