Police investigating the discovery of Semtex and other weapons in west Belfast have arrested a 35-year-old woman.

The woman was detained on Sunday afternoon and is being questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

Over half a kilo of the deadly plastic explosive was found along with two handguns, 200 rounds of ammunition and two detonators at a house on Ballymurphy Road on September 18.

Her arrest comes after Kevin Nolan was remanded in custody on Tuesday accused of possessing explosives and detonators under suspicious circumstances with intent to endanger life.

The 45-year-old, who was arrested in Sunderland, also faces charges of possessing firearms and ammunition under suspicious circumstances also with intent to endanger life.
