Fault in underground cable blamed for power outage
Engineers have restored power to nearly a 1,000 homes after an earlier power cut.
The outage happened around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon, with 984 homes losing power.
A spokesperson for NIE said all but 40 homes now have their lights back on.
Engineers discovered the fault was in a section of 11kV underground cable, though the cause is still unknown.
Work is continuing to restore power to remaining 40 homes.
