Widower dies after house fire which also claimed wife's life

An elderly man has died following a house fire in Enniskillen.

His wife was killed in the blaze at Silverhill Park on December 27 and he was admitted to hospital but died there this morning.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

A PSNI spokeswoman said: "Police can confirm that a man aged in his 70s has died in hospital this morning.

"The man was admitted to hospital following a fire at a house in the Silverhill Park area of Enniskillen on Sunday 27th December."

It was the second fatal house fire in Enniskillen in just under a month.
