Willie Frazer admits George Galloway comments 'went too far'
Willie Frazer has given a High Court pledge not to repeat any allegedly defamatory comments about George Galloway on social media.
Mr Frazer confirmed his undertaking pending the outcome of defamation proceedings brought against him by the Respect MP.
Although he said he stood over most of his speech at a loyalist protest outside the Ulster Hall last month, Mr Frazer accepted he may have gone too far in calling Mr Galloway "a scumbag". He told a judge: "There's probably a more preferable way of displaying my feelings towards this man."
Mr Frazer also signalled his desire to have the MP called to court to give evidence about his views.
In his libel action against the victims' campaigner and internet giant YouTube, Mr Galloway claims sectarian and false remarks about him constituted hate speech which significantly heightened tensions at the venue.
