A 50-year-old woman has been arrested by detectives investigating a suspicious death in West Belfast over a year ago.

Sean Corrigan was found at a flat in the St Mary's Gardens area of the city last September.

He subsequently died in hospital.

Police had launched a fresh appeal for information on the anniversary of his death.

Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway, from the Police Service of Northern Ireland serious crime branch, said the suspect was arrested in west Belfast this morning.

She has been taken to a police station in the city for questioning.
