A man in his 30s has died after being knocked down in south Belfast.

A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences after the collision with the male pedestrian in Lisburn Road.

The fatal incident happened at the junction with Marlborough Park at around 11.20pm on Sunday.

The woman remained in police custody on Monday morning.

Officers have appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
