Woman arrested in David Clarke murder probe released
A 36-year-old woman arrested by detectives investigating the murder of David Clarke in Belfast in 2001 has been released unconditionally.
David Clarke (26) who had learning difficulties was beaten to death in his flat at Forthriver Road.
The case was re-opened after police received new information.
Detectives from Serious Crime Branch arrested the woman in the north Belfast area of the city on the morning of Thursday December 10.
She was taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning and was later released unconditionally.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said: “I would continue to ask anyone with information to do the right thing and come forward with anything they know.
