Woman assaulted during car hijacking in Belfast

A woman has been treated in hospital for an injury above her eye after two men assaulted her before hijacking her car in Belfast.

At around 6.30pm on  Monday night the woman had returned to her car in the multi-story carpark, Hardcastle Street.

She was then approached by two men who assaulted her and forced her from the car, a Volkswagen Passat, before driving off.

The woman sustained an injury above her eye requiring hospital treatment.

The black Passat registration AFZ 7586 is still outstanding.

 Detective Inspector Jenna Fitzpatrick has appealed for witnesses or anyone with any other information to contact detectives at Musgrave CID on 101.
