Woman attacked by three other females at 11th Night bonfire in Co Down

The PSNI have appealed for information about an incident at an Eleventh Night bonfire where a woman was attacked by three other females.

The assault happened at around 2am on July 12 near to the bonfire in the River Park area of Killyleagh, Co Down.

In the attack the woman sustained injuries to her face and body.

Appealing to the public, a spokesperson for the PSNI in Co Down said: "There was loads of people around the area... so we would really like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have seen anything."

Police in Co Down have also appealed for information about an unrelated incident of vandalism that happened a short time earlier.

Just after midnight in the Lisburn Street area of neighbouring Ballynahinch in the carpark of Supervalu, a red Vauxhall Astra car sustained damage to its boot area.

Anyone with any information about the Killyleagh assault can contact police on the non-emergency number of 101, quoting the reference number 420 with the date 12/07/2017.

Anyone with any information about the incident of vandalism can contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the reference number 82 with the date 12/07/2017.
