Woman charged with racist attack on Polish couple on Belfast bus
A 57-year-old woman has been charged after an alleged racist attack on a Polish couple on a Metro bus.
The woman has been charged with three counts of common assault, two of assaulting police and disorderly behaviour after a number of people were assaulted on a bus travelling along the Antrim Road in north Belfast on Tuesday afternoon.
The woman, who was arrested after the incident, is due in court this morning.
Sinn Fein councillor Mary Ellen Campbell was on the Metro 1B bus at the time of the alleged attack.
She claimed she was also assaulted when she attempted to intervene.
