A woman has been extradited from Sweden as part of a three-year investigation into controlling prostitution and human trafficking.

The suspect was detained under a European Arrest Warrant. Specialist PSNI detectives travelled to Sweden to extradite the 30-year-old.

She is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Thursday on trafficking and controlling prostitution charges, PSNI detective inspector Mark Bell said.
