Woman found safe and well following air and sea search at Portstewart
A missing woman who sparked an air and sea search of the shoreline at Portstewart has been found safe and well.
The search operation was sparked after a crashed Toyota car was found abandoned on Strand Road in the north coast town in the early hours of Sunday.
The woman feared missing after the discovery was found safe and well on Sunday afternoon.
Portrush RNLI, HM Coastguard and the Irish Coastguard helicopter from Sligo were all involved in the operation.
Bann River Rescue, a community search team and police also took part in the search effort.
