A woman in her 20s was in a critical condition last night after falling from a window in a Co Tyrone property.

Police and medical staff attended the scene yesterday morning in the Mourne Crescent area of Coalisland, with the seriously injured woman taken to Craigavon Area Hospital.

It's still unknown how she fell, but police investigating the circumstances of the incident have arrested four people at the property - three men aged 24, 25 and 34 along with a 29 year-old woman.

A spokeswoman from the hospital confirmed last night that the woman "remained critical" after being rushed from the scene for medical treatment.

While the investigation continues, detectives have made an appeal for anyone who was in the Mourne Crescent area yesterday morning and who witnessed anything to contact them in Cookstown on 101 quoting reference number 302 of 14/11/16. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
