Woman in hospital after Royal Avenue bus accident
A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Belfast City Centre.
Royal Avenue was closed on Thursday morning following the collision between a bus and a pedestrian.
It happened just before 9am involving a Metro 12 service (city bound) and a female pedestrian.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said the woman suffered a leg injury and has been taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
The NIAS spokesman said two other people who were on the bus sustained knee injuries.
A Translink spokeswoman said: "Emergency services were called to the scene and the pedestrian involved was taken to hospital.
"PSNI and Translink investigations are currently underway."
The road has since re-opened and traffic is flowing again however motorists should expect delays.
