Woman is bailed over axe killing of Basil McAfee (50)
A woman has been freed on bail pending further inquiries in connection with the murder of a man more than a year ago.
Basil McAfee (50) was found dead after being attacked with a knife and an axe. His body was found in the living room of his house at Henderson Avenue in Belfast in December 2013.
This is the fifth arrest in connection with the killing.
PSNI detective chief inspector John McVea said the 44-year-old woman was detained in north Belfast yesterday morning.
Mr McAfee was last seen alive on the evening of December 19, 2013.
A 39-year-old man arrested earlier this week was released on bail pending further inquiries.
