Woman quizzed over police patrol shooting released
A 20-year-old woman questioned about a dissident republican murder bid against police officers has been released.
She was detained in the Newry area on Tuesday morning on suspicion of involvement in the gun attack on a police patrol in the Rossnareen Avenue area of west Belfast in November 2015.
Two properties were searched as part of the arrest operation.
The woman was questioned at Musgrave police station in Belfast, and released unconditionally on Tuesday night.
Armoured plating and bulletproof glass saved the lives of the two officers inside the vehicle when it was ambushed.
The car was riddled with up to eight rounds.
The week before the attack a member of the travelling community was critically injured when he was shot in the head in the same area.
The officers had been part of follow-up operations in Rossnareen Avenue when they were attacked.
