Woman suffers a 'number of stab wounds' in Derry assault - man arrested
A woman is being treated in hospital after suffering number of stab wounds to her abdomen and bruising to her face in an assault in Londonderry.
Shortly before 5am it was reported that a woman in her 30s had been assaulted in the Creggan Road area.
She was taken to hospital for treatment for a number of stab wounds to her abdomen and bruising to her face.
Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
