A woman has been threatened at gunpoint on the outskirts of Belfast.

She was confronted by a stranger at a house in the Colinvale area of Dunmurry shortly after 6pm on Monday.

The gunman, believed to have been in his mid 20s, was described as being about 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build, with dark hair and wearing a blue hooded top.

He fled in a gold Toyota Yaris car.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
