Women injured after being dragged from car during Lisburn hijacking

Two women were injured and treated for shock after being dragged out of a car by a gang during a hijacking in Lisburn.

The women were in a black Peugeot 208 in a layby in the Bensons Road area when the gang approached in another car shortly before 10pm on Tuesday night.

Their car was rammed from behind before a number of men exited it and pulled the women from the Peugeot before taking off.

The women suffered minor injuries and shock.

Detective Sergeant James Johnston appealed for anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information which could assist police with their enquiries to contact detectives in Lisburn on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
