Donneybrewer Fishery: Fishermen enjoy a successful week at Donneybrewer

John Farren started the week with eight fish between 2lb and 5lb and all of his fish were released.

Trevor Temple also did well as he caught and released 12 fish between 2lb and 9lb.

Charlie McMorris caught seven fish, his biggest was 12.75lb which he released. The rest were between 2lb and 6lb which he also released.

Friday brought further success as Gordon Robinson started the day with 11 fish between 2lb and 8lb and he too released all his fish.

Robert Dick had a successful day too, netting eight fish between 2lb and 6lb, all of which were released.

Not to be outdone, Gemma Dick took two fish, one at 2.25lb and the second at 7.5lb.

Saturday saw Don McArthur take two fish, at 2.25lb and 3.5lb.

He also caught a further four fish, weighing 2lb and 4lb, which he released.

Ernie McCallion reeled in two fish, one at 2lb and the second at 2.5lb. He also released a further seven fish.

Joe Nesbitt took two fish, one at 3.25lb and the second was 4lb. Wad McKay did well as he took two fish at around 2lb but he also released a further four fish between 2.5lb and 5lb.

Keith Casey caught five fish between 2lb and 4lb and all of his fish were released.

While the weather took a turn for the worse on Sunday, the fishing remained good, as Peter Finigan started the day with six fish between 2lb and 4lb, all of which he released.

Sean O'Donnell caught four fish between 2.3lb and 6lb. He also released all of his fish, while Dermott Boyle had yet another good day as he caught and released 13 fish between 2lb and 10lb. Sean Boyle also had a successful catch.

Monday got off to a good start as Roy Donnelly took two fish, one at 2lb and the second at 2.75lb.

Eamon Donnelly took two fish out, weighing 2.25lb and the second 3.5lb.

He also released a further six fish between 2lb and 6lb. John Donnelly also took two fish, one at 2.5lb and the second was 3lb. He also released a further three fish, all around 3.5lb.

David Knox took two fish, one at 2.5lb and the second at 3lb.

Tuesday was another fruitful day as Paul Donnelly caught 17 fish between 2lb and 7lb, all of which were released. Marty Boyd, meanwhile, caught seven fish between 2lb and 6lb and all of his fish were released.

On Wednesday Daryl Corrigan caught nine fish between 2lb and 8lb. All of his fish were released.

Glen Garlick caught 12 fish between 2lb and 6lb. He also released all of his fish.
